Since I was probably the first person in my batch of ~830 students at IIT Kanpur to have taken the GRE, I keep receiving a barrage of questions from my both my batchmates and juniors regarding how to ‘crack’ the GRE. Today, I came across a very interesting article on Wikipedia: Relative age effect. It looks like I have been positively affected by it(I was born in July and school sessions generally start in June in India) and I’m sorry for the millions of people negatively affected by it.

Last semester, I stumbled upon ‘interactive proofs’ and read the word ‘Goldwasser’ as one of the authors of a paper related to interactive proofs(turns out she was one of the inventors of interactive proofs 😜 ). Although there were other authors as well, this particular name remained stuck in my mind(south Indians have traditionally been obsessed with gold). Today, after some arbitrary internet surfing, I read about Prof. Shafi Goldwasser here.
